The 55 million tonnes per annum Roy Hill Project represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail and port projects to be developed in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Situated 115 kilometres north of Newman, in one of the world’s premier iron ore provinces, the world class Roy Hill Project is the only independent iron ore project with West Australian majority ownership. With a defined mineralisation of more than 2.4 billion tonnes of high grade iron ore, enough to sustain a mine of life of more than 20 years, the Roy Hill Project is introducing a new wave of innovation, technology and knowledge to Australia’s iron ore industry.

Roy Hill is currently offering the opportunity for talented students to be a part of one of WA’s most iconic, innovative fully integrated iron ore, mining, rail and port projects.

A 3 month paid internship is on offer for successful university students who are currently undertaking one of the below degrees:

  • Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mine, Chemical, Mechatronics or Metallurgical)
  • Engineering (Instrumentation, Control and Automation)
  • Finance
  • Law
  • Human Resources
  • Geology
  • Environmental Science
  • Media and Communications

Working as an intern you will be encouraged to use your skills acquired through your studies, work tenaciously towards goals as well as contribute to and work on live business projects and initiatives. In return Roy Hill will offer you the opportunity to gain valuable experience through on the job learning, work alongside some of Australia’s valued industry leaders as well as being surrounded by like-minded people who are career driven and passionate about achieving key business goals.

Internships will be available from November 2016 to March 2017 based at our Port, Mine or Perth operations working an 8/6 or 5/2 roster depending on your area of expertise.

What you need to be considered:

  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
  • Able to pass pre-employment checks.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
